Summer vacation = good.  Summer vacation with a two year old = ?  He's totally testing me lately.  He spent a lot of time in timeout yesterday.  And potty training?  Give me strength.  We get the day off from each other tomorrow.  He goes to my parents and I'm going to go do ghostly things.  Meeting with people for potential historic haunted tours

ICED COFFEE!!! Let me know how it turns out!!!! I saw that recipe and was thinking about making it as here in Iowa it's 87 million degrees during the summer - blergh.

OMG this is the BEST ICED COFFEE EVA!!! It's so good, you should definitely make it. PW never steers you wrong.

I was reading this while drinking my iced coffee. :) Many, many years ago when I worked in a coffeehouse we used to make pitchers of iced coffee by putting the unused shots of espresso into a jug. Since most drinks called for single shots and the machine made two, we ended up with a lot of iced coffee. Now I make it with a cafetiere and a stovetop espresso maker. The extra espresso makes the coffee taste fuller than just the cafetiere. The recipe you posted sounds wonderful! I'm going to try a small batch because my UK refrigerator will not hold the bathtub-sized amount she made. But oh, not to have to make it every other day, and KNOW coffee was waiting for me in the refrigerator ... Oh, well, I can dream.

I am fascinated by your ghost-hunting excursions! Do you have toys? The kind that would make Arthur Weasley drool? Have the ghosties told you what the heck Pottermore is?

This is basically the same thing I guess - you make an extra strong brew and dilute it with milk or cream or whatever. (I don't really know, LOL.) But it is DELICIOUS. According to the comments she got when she posted it, people say that cold brewing is less bitter. It does seem that way to me. Again, I'm not a real coffee drinker, mostly because I don't like the bitterness.

We have lots of toys that light up and whatnot. LOL I'll have to post some stuff. We got some good EVPs the last place we were at. I wish someone would tell me what Pottermore is - my guess, or hope, is that she scanned all those notebooks with backstories and whatnot. That would be awesome!

My dream house will have an industrial ice make that makes the crunchy pebbly ice like you get at Sonic.

I worked at a couple places (a retirement home dining room and Pizza Hut) that had an ice machine that made that ice. That ice is the perfect ice for a hot summer day.

Yeah, potty training SUX. He knows when he has to go, he just won't always cooperate. I'm sure I'll stress all summer and then in the fall when he goes back to his nursery school, he'll just decide he's going to do it. :P

I don't like plain' ol coffee, but I love creamy, sugary espresso drinks, especially iced ones on a hot summer day! It looks like the PW brew would please me, and I like that she really goes for it and uses half and half (and sweetened condensed milk)! If I don't doctor things up a bit like this, coffee is too bitter and watery for me. I've tried to get myself to like it, since that would be cheaper than always drinking lattes, but I just can't do it.

Damn, now I want a drink like this right now, but it's 6pm and I have to go to sleep early tonight. FML.

That's exactly what I like - "creamy, sugary espresso drinks."

This stuff is good - it's not really bitter and I find I need less sugar than usual. I still like lots of cream. :)

This is me not envying you for the 2 yr old. I love my wee nephews but man are they a handful!

Ghost Hunting is fun, mainly because of my team. The actual ghost hunting is about 95% boring.

I only have the one kid - I can't imagine more - is it 3 or four nieces and nephews you have?
