So late tonight, a regular customer came through with her 6 (or so) year old daughter after swimming at the YMCA. I notice and point out a 2-inch wide, white spider sitting on the glass outside on her front passenger window.

"Oh, I hope it isn't inside," she says. Little girl is on alert.

I always find it a little weird that so many people are afraid of spiders. They're one of the few bugs that don't scare me.

I don't mind them myself, so long as they aren't poisonous or get any bright ideas about crawling into bed with me when I'm still awake enough to notice.

I used to be so deathly afraid of them, though. Blame the movie Arachnophobia at a young age, though. :X; Now I find arachnids to be very interesting creatures.
