So due to my my habit getting into popular cult stuff way after the buzz has faded, Em and I finally watched the entire half-season of Firefly the other week. In a word: wonderful. Yet again smart and interesting television gets canned while crappy reality shows gain the ratings. Sad...

At least I have Serenity to look forward to...

My boss saw Serenity already and really liked it.

The show was fantastic, but nothing can live in a Friday night time slot like that. Even geeks have stuff to do on Friday nights. :)

wasn't just the timeslot - Fox was also pulling shit like playing the episodes out of order and pre-empting the show for a month 3 weeks in for baseball.

It never even had a chance...

that show is fantastic. my secret fantasy is that the movie will do really well and they'll bring back the TV show, but I'm not optimistic.
