Serenity rocked. Great film, but I can understand how non-Firefly fans would find it confusing and/or not as compelling. Sixteen hours of getting to know the characters and their intricate relationship as well as the nuanced world that Joss Whedon created provides far more emotional investment than the 5-minute prologue and the seemingly random ( Read more... )

***SPOILER TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM****

I do know that all the actors signed on to do a 3-movie deal so I'm guessing we're going see more Wash and Book in the sequals - probably in flashbacks, holograms, or hallucinations... My guess is that Book was a former Operative himself who went through a similar situation as the Operative and had his belief that the Alliance was all fuzzy and warm ripped away from him.

yea, i only watched the series in July so there was barely any wait for me too.
