[Have you ever wondered why most white mages won't or just shouldn't use black magic? Well today, Eiko is being the perfect example.

After so many days of waiting, she's trying out some fire magic for the very first time. Which of course, ended horribly. She has sadly managed to set a pretty big bush on fire, that shouldn't be hard to spot. So sorry ( Read more... )

[Kain sighs as he comes upon the sight of the little girl and FIRE. Why is he having the worst luck with kids doing weird things around him lately? Anyway... he focuses on the wind, letting it blow hard enough to splash more water at that fire.]

[If anything it is his fault he is around to see her do weird things. But ohthankgod the fire's out. She's not aware of who did it, but it's out!]

Thank you!

[Kain nods in return, letting the wind gradually subside, the water returning to calm once more. As mean as he can be, he couldn't let the kid catch on fire.]

[Well, she was in the water, so it would've been hard for her to catch on fire. But she is happy she only killed a bush.]

I won't do that again...

[Hulk just so happened to be walking by, and yes he does spot the little girl trying to put the fire out.

.... =| what the heck was she DOING, lighting matches?]

[Nope, no matches here!

But, OH MAN, big green monster is a bit more worrying than a fire, so excuse her as she tries to hide in the water now..]

[Yeah, running is the typical reaction. Hulk is just going to casually stroll over to the fire and clap his hands together creating a small shockwave that puts it out. Then he goes over to the river.]

... I know you're in there.

[At that clap she shrinks down in the water even more and shakes her head. No, no one's here. We don't know what you're talking about.

Eiko!

[Wideyed, Rydia does her best to add her own filial magic, a combination of water and wind to help spread it as much as possible over the bush.]

[Well, it shouldn't take too much to put it out. Eiko did a good job of killing it.]

I didn't mean to do that.

I know, but...how about we practice at the battle dome, hm? If you're going to damage something, it might as well be hologram enemies.

[The damage is something to be proud of.]

...I can't use it that well yet though. [The only thing she could kill is a nice slow tonberry at this point.]

Fire usually isn't the best way to start things off. I recommend focusing on mold first.

Mold. Way easier to tame than fire.

[ Lightning is wearing a serious expression, just like always, when she sees the smoke and shortly afterward comes across the little girl in the river versus the burning bush. She's usually not one to interfere, but... as she stops and her pale eyes go between Eiko and the half-charred foliage, it doesn't take her long to decide otherwise.

A moment later, there isn't a fire any more... but there also isn't much bush left, either. The explosive Water spell Lightning casts tears it apart pretty neatly, in addition to extinguishing the flames. ]

[Well, thank you for putting out the fire, but Eiko was never informed that a water spell could do something like that, and it kind of makes her fall back into the water.

Why is no one nice enough to warn her before they put out the fire??]
