Also, Googlemail sucks. I want Gmail back. Stupid trademark disputes. Why does everything in the UK have to be longer?

Vas?

Inferring from this I'm assuming that British gmail accounts have changed somehow? (Does this have something to do with your email accounts being down for a bit last week?)

This is the link

I'm not sure it will clear for someone not in the UK through, so here are so relevant quotes:
You may have noticed the Google Mail logo. We are changing our service's name in the UK. Starting October 19, 2005, all new accounts will have @googlemail.com addresses. Don't worry, though - all messages are being sent and delivered as before...

We have been involved in a dispute regarding the Gmail trademark in the UK. Another company has claimed rights to the Gmail name. We have tried to resolve this dispute through negotiations, but our efforts have failed.

Yeah the link worked.

Sucks.

Tho at least your address (for now) is staying the same. *crosses fingers that they get this all worked out and "googlemail" goes the way of the do-do.*

What I really dislike -- and it's really something stupid to waste any emotional energy on at all -- is the fact that the page title now takes up more space on the page tab in Firefox. So now, if I have more than four tabs open, I can't tell if there's mail in my in-box by just looking at the tab.

Everything is longer in the UK?

Hmm.

I'll be right over.

So the "Irish Curse" applies to the whole UK? :-P

There's an Irish curse?

In fact, as circumcision is rare over here other than in religious minorities, but seems de rigeur in the States, I could probably at least claim that things have a little more girth over here. ;)
