GO PACK!

Erm, HOLY CRAP. NCSU just knocked Duke out of the ACC Tourney! FIRST ROUND! *dances* I am in absolutely glorious and delightful shock. This picture was created in honor of State's victory over Carolina in February, but the theme holds. All worship at the alter of Sydney Lowe! He knows how to pull it out. And in his first year, too!

N! C! Staaaate!

...Your MP3 wouldn't load here; the tune to the Fight Song is the same as the Army tune, "The Caissons Go Rolling Along".

What time's tipoff to beat Virginia, do you know?

Good eye (and ear!) on the RAWFS/Fight Song issue. They ought to ask that before issuing student tickets to any NC State sport.

RAWFS is a great song, but as you point out, it is not the true fight song!

Last night's game was special. Coach Lowe is 4-2 against the other three members of the "Big Four" in his first year, and that was after pudnit after commentator after speculator said we shouldn't aim to compete with and beat Duke and Carolina on a regular basis. I suppose someone forgot to tell El Sid.

Tonight, we get to see how hard it is for a team (UVa) to beat another team (us) three times in a year. Much like yesterday's game, though, we didn't have Engin at 100% for either of our first two losses against the Hoos.

aggie_chick_06 is going to kill me tonight, though -- both State and Texas A&M play on TV at 6pm tonight. Augh!

GO STATE! GIG 'EM, AGS!

Ooh, I hope for the sake of your marriage that there are two TVs in the household.

Yes, we do. I think I even have enough RG-6 to to wheel the guest room TV (it's on a cart!) into the living room, so we can watch both simultaneously.

Grin. RG-6? Leftover from a TV studio, or just figuring you're going to wheel that cart farther than the RG-59 you get from the Best Buy would allow--?

hope you kids enjoyed the tourny, and that you had less trouble getting your service provider to give you video of State games. (Ha--or were you pulling RG-6 all the way from an ACC market?) It was certainly an exciting weekend ('til about the last fourteen seconds of Sunday's game), and I have a hard time being TOO disappointed, as we beat Duke once, Carolina once, and Virginia and Virginia Tech during the Tournament for good measure, and there was no predicted "blowout" despite Gavin Grant being tired and Engin Atsür having tweaked that bad hamstring the day before. The only thing I'm really disappointed about is not having a berth in the NCAA tourny. I at least hope we clean up in the NIT. (Who the heck is Drexel anyways?)

I should probably sign off now, and sorry for being so rambly--I'm a little sleep deprived due to the whole thing about the months of the year when we ... )
