Advance-Fee fraud, or "419 scams" are internet or phone/fax based scams that trick people into sending money overseas in the hopes of getting millions of dollars back. Ok Paul, I just came into this huge amount of money from unidentifiable sources. What I need you to do is send me your car, your stereo, the contents of your fridge, and Lisa's left arm. Using these items, I will be able to make you RICH.

Also, the fact she sent this obvious scammer $6,000 disgusts me on levels that have not even been discovered yet.

I've honestly never met anyone that's fallen for one of those, probably because I still haven't met many people. However, if that girl came back with millions of dollars and it was not a scam, you would be TOTALLY SHOCKED.

However, even if she did, your point still stands true. Sad that it has to be..spelled out for some people to get it, though.

/wanders off to give child's college fund to strangers in hopes of getting child into college.
