It’s kind of funny how first impressions can so long. The Native Peoples of Canada were initially misunderstood, and they still are. Idealistically they are not, since Canada is known for its peacekeeping, freedom, and multiculturalism, you would think Canada would at least know their Native Peoples without romanticizing them. good post.

we are learning about this jazz in political science.

when the europeans came and colonialized - they purposely supplied the native people with blankets that contained small pox, which was the biggest killer of the first nations people. FUCKED UP.

so sad.

i think the impressions will last for ever - peoples views havent changed much on the last 100 yrs.

Wow I never heard of that one! Have you heard of Black Water? It was a knock off alcoholic beverage... A mixture of watered down alcohol and replaced the lost alcohol with things such as gun powder, chlorine, gas, all kinds of fucked up shit to alter their mind sets... or to get them to sign treaties?
