I'm in New York! We abruptly decided to take the bus down for a friend's NYE party, because we live in DC so we can totally do that kind of thing! And the bus ride gave me just enough time to pound this out before the end of the year.

I don't drink coffee but I remember my husband really hating French coffee on my honeymoon too, haha. Apparently it's super hard to get, like, a plain regular coffee? Anyway. It seems like you had a fascinating year! Have a great 2012 :)

APPARENTLY they really overroast their beans, and they don't always use the same kind we use in North America, and they also never clean their espresso machines. Or so David Lebovitz taught me. So basically, your husband was totally in the right. ;)
