I was in North Carolina for the first time this summer! I was staying with some friends in Durham, but we did spend a day in Chapel Hill. GORGEOUS.

Chapel Hill! We were there earlier this fall. Dunno if you guys have a car, but Allen & Son BBQ is worth the getting lost, you can get Wilcopops at Locopops (butternut squash+cranberry paleta!), and A Southern Season has an amazing assortment of coffees and teas and chocolates.

Oh, and also, hooray books! Which LeGuin book did you end up getting? Thank you for the book rec; it sounds like a lot of fun :)

I got The Left Hand of Darkness, which, astoundingly, I've never read! But I've read several of the other Hainish cycle books now, and this one is so famous, so I'm really excited.
