But which one is the real Beyonce?!?

It's been snowing on and off all weekend, not enough to stick, but enough to fill my head with James Joyce. I want more more more. If it's going to be winter (which I hate) it should at least snow (which I love).

(1) I'm totally not engaged yet with this semester yet (my last!!), which I know because it's a month in and I still can't remember which ( Read more... )

go you , facing down that syringe.

cute hair. I say don't wash it too often... I shampoo my fringe (ooh bangs!) and nothing else then massively overcondition the rest.

Thanks! throughadoor got me interested in the whole no-shampoo thing, but I don't think mine's nearly curly enough to make it work. It's probably more accurate to call it wavy, with a propensity to become increasingly lackluster the more time passes. I think perhaps I need some kind of... cream? To keep it curlier? And not frizzy? Haha, I'm like a hapless 14 year old here.

And I too have a long tradition of washing only my bangs, heeee.

Tigi Ego Boost is really nice - not too heavy and smells great. You only need a tiny bit, then run it through mid-lengths to ends.

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR HAIR A LOT - IM IN LOVE WITH IT.

Curly hair tips!

DevaCurl products are really good. My hair is pretty thin and fine and I use their OneCondition and Angell. Basically I put shampoo on the tips of my fingers and just gently scrub my scalp, then comb conditioner through it with my fingers. At the end I flip my head upside down, shake it out, and squeeze in a little bit of gel. I clip up the roots with duck clips to give it a little lift and let it air dry with a t-shirt over my shoulders, or sometimes blowdry it with a diffuser. I haven't brushed it in about six years now!

Also, I am impressed with your syringe skills, I am still too scared to get off the epi pen. Someday.

Oooh, I feel like I can give some ~advice~ about injections: the trick is that you want to do it super fast. Even though it's scary as hell, but it hurts much less! Think of it like a dart and just go for it.

And I like your hair! I am contemplating going kinda short too, because I'm sick of having to go get mine cut every few months since it grows out like a beast.

Yay, less pain! Yay, short hair! We loves it, precious. My advice is limited, since my hair never manages to stay short for long, but I used to put it in two little French braids post-shower when I had a night in & sleep on it like that. Great waves the next day. Of course, you have to look like Pippi Longstocking's ungainly older sister for the evening & you live with a ~*~handsome man~*~ so that might not be feasible often.

You should probably just made your LJ a (hair-)style blog. Give the people what they want!

awesome hair!

also, super impressed with your needle bravery. i could probably only get the needle in if i had my eyes tightly closed (and my head turned away), and then i'd probably stab myself in the wrong spot!
