Today I'm 37 weeks pregnant, which means that even though there are three weeks 'til my official due date, this kid is now considered A Full Term Baby. Speaking with all the experience of the aunt of a 14 month old -- it'll be nuts, but it'll also be amazing.

Also, if my brother's experience is typical, tell no one the name until the kid is actually born, because otherwise it's just going to be complaints the whole way through. (True story: my mother recently confided to me that she calls the kid BY ANOTHER NAME when no one else is around. I ... yeah. No words.)

You are bringing me back. Her feet were dancing in between my ribs, we were unprepared in all of those ways up until a day or two before my due date, I was excited for the drop, etc. etc. Frozen meals and many outfit changes and many diapers, yes (though if you have a baby shower then the two latter items will probably be taken care of by everyone else ( ... )

MARTHA! I'm so happy for you!!!! I just saw the birth announcement on FB and went back and caught up on these beautiful entries. I'm delighted and delighted to read your thoughtful words about the experience of being pregnant. I hope you are getting good rest now with your new baby!!!!
