75% Crap

Nov 07, 2005 01:09

Here's one of my main problems with people. There are a lot of people who just won't respect my right to make decisions pertaining to myself. In life, it feels as if there are very few things which I have control over, but the one thing that I will always be mine is my own body. I have the final say in whether I put something inside my body or not ( Read more... )

your rite

But it's not just that. It's an even greater feeling of being pushed away from society. In high school, there's a lot of self-conscious people and superficiality, but it never affected me. Now, on a much larger scale, there's still that "75% Crap" but there's so many people to wade through that it seems like there's even fewer people who I can really get along with.

I'm not sure this is making any sense.

I feel you.
But different people can serve diffeent purposes in your life. Some people can fit with you perfectly in one situation, and may seem as though they could not be farther from you in another.
I would suggest that you try not to worry about finding people that are perfect. And I am sorry that you are missing Jackie/Catherine/Ali. Hopefully you'll find a group that you can feel as close with again. You didn't meet them right away in high school.

Queech is right. I have been moved around through home and school and state over the past years, and it is always hard to find the people you ust click with, especially if you don't have to look for new friends very often. Sadly enough I have gotten good at it. That leads into a whole other deal, but nevermind ( ... )

((Oh, and sorry for the long windedness of my post. I only try to impart what is my limited knowledge to those who seem to be boggled. Although I'm sure I'm not in any position to be giving you advice. I am on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to live experience, and probably even lower when it comes to practical or impartable life experience.))

Denty I miss you too! Its been tough trying to move on and only now am I feeling like I belong somewhere and I often feel torn between decisions that would've been easy back home but that are so much more complex here. Situations like drinking and drugs and stuff I would have never had to deal with back home are always around. I can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving, and I think we will all find that everyone has been dealing with these "growing pains". Moving on will always sux if you were happy in your current state. I will talk to you soon, and feel free to e-mail me anytime!(Lawcf@rhodes.edu).~Catherine

I do understand, Denton. I wrote you a letter. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Remember reading at Barnes and Noble and making fun of Daniel Handler? Maybe sometimes you just expect too much of yourself. Stop trying so hard to forget or move on and just live. Those things will happen naturally.
