I started crying to myself on the bus yesterday. I was thinking about my grandmother, and then it hit me as to why I hold her in such high regard. The way she has lived her life so far is a perfect model of how I try to live mine. She's given me a lot throughout my life, been there when others haven't, but I think her most important contribution ( Read more... )

I can relate...I've recently been doing the same thing with my mother. I think maybe we're afraid of losing the strong women in our lives? Or maybe it's because there is something that we want to say to them but haven't as of yet and thus we're afraid it will go an eternity unsaid. I'm not sure.

But, regardless, I'm glad you realize how much she means to you because we tend to do that when it's too late.

Your Grandmother reminds me of Lizzie Maguire's grandmother.
