SO! I've been planning to do this picspam since last year but have been too lazy to get around to it. And sort of rightly so, as it took me FOREVER. But now, it is completed in all of it's glory so that everyone can acknowledge that Gossip Girl is truly American Hanadan.

My friends who got me into GG got me to watch it by saying how similar it was to HYD and we all agree how Chuck is like Tsukasa.
This proves that America would (and basically does) love HYD. Whenever anyone brings up the US doing an Americanversion of HYD peopel say it would never happend. Well it basically has!!
Thanks for putting a lot of effoert into this, quite amusing. I actually thought it was 1 of my frinds who did it at 1st.

HAHA! That's awesome! I'm always surprised by how many other people see the GG/HYD comparison. Chuck and Tsukasa are like the same person only Chuck knows how to deal with the ~ladies~ and Tsukasa thinks he has to marry Tsukushi because they took a nap together. Hee!

RIGHT? LOL! I love all the discussions about if they did an American remake of Hanadan. It would be Gossip Girl, basically. Also this just proves that EVERY country loves Hanadan. It is universal.

I've only read Hana Yori Dango and I've never actually seen the show but clearly you are correct in comparing the two- this picspam is a glorious thing. Domyouji and Chuck Bass are like the same person.
I've never actually read the Hanadan manga, probably because I love the jdrama far too much. I did see the Korean version but didn't really care for it too much. Chuck and Domyouji are seriously the same person. If Chuck Bass was lame with the ladies and functionally illerate he would totally be Domyouji. I really want someone to write me crossover fic where they go shopping now.

HAHA OMG YES! I'm so proud of myself that I'm getting people to watch both shows. Oh man, the trainwrecky aspect of the show it totally what got me hooked. And the 8th episode is totally one of my favorites in terms of both Chuck/Blair stuff and Chuck being an adorable creepster.
just so gleefully transparent that it's hard to really hate him. Yes, even after the first episode. And it seems like the actor that plays him has such fun with it, which is awesome.
I know! He's just so over the top in everything he does that he's just too insane to hate. He's just hilarious. Ed Westwick is my favorite, the character could have been way more ~srsbsns~ if played by the wrong person but he just rolls with the crack.
In real life, I would be running from this guy as fast as I could. That would be a super wise decision. Also never eating or drinking anything he gives you for fear of ruffies. I love how in the 7th episode Blair hands Chuck her drink when she's about to go dance all "Watch my ( ... )

I think the Jap version of HYD is soooo much better than the taiwanese and korean version, you should check it out if you have time :)

Oh I totally agree. The Japanese version is my favorite drama by FAR. I didn't really like the Korean version, despite the fact that I watched it this year. And I've only ever watched the first five or so episodes of the Taiwanese version because the acting/production vaules were a little to bad for me.
