YAPPP: Yet Another Proud Papa Post
I think we might have gotten over the "potty training hump." For the longest time, Ari would go #1 in the potty just fine, but would INSIST on making her "poopy snakes" in a diaper. Well, this past weekend, we were pretty much out of diapers, so after much tribulation, we got Ariana to sit on her potty and try to go. I sat with her, we even put the potty down in the living room so she could watch TV while she went. It ended up devolving into me trying to hold her on the potty and she making a game out of it ("Hold me, Daddy!" then when I held her, she'd break my grip and run away laughing.)
Anyway, not 10 minutes later, she felt the urge to go again and Monica got her in the bathroom on the potty and she went! So she got a "poopy prize," a chocolate bug (a little chocolate wrapped in foil to look like a bee or lady bug, or whatever). She went again yesterday and even called me at work to tell me about it. :)
So I'm hoping that we're good now. We've even been making sure she's tried to go pee before she goes down for a nap or the night and she's been dry for the past few days, too.
