Totally with you on the whole watching more movies thing. I haven't seen so many classics, it's embarrassing! And I want to read more books, too.
As for music, my "discovery" this year was Leonard Cohen. As for Dylan, it took me YEARS to love him (in my defense, I was bombarded with him throughout my childhood and had a visceral reaction to his voice that took a while to overcome. Now I love his voice, but love his words more). I never got into Pink Floyd or Zeppelin, though. Maybe I'll work on that.

Oh man, I'm hopelessly behind on classics myself. I was able to see a few in high school when I took a History of American Film class, but my teacher was sorta obsessed with Paul Newman (which wasn't entirely bad since Paul Newman was really hot) so it wasn't as many as I would have liked. Part of the reason I have a Netflix account is to catch up on all those movies I need to/should have seen
