It's pretty miserable. I'm thinking about going to see an ENT specialist. I'm on antibiotics but everytime I get a cold I get a sinus infection, which makes me wonder if I am ever really getting rid of the infection. The doctor I saw last week was pretty worthless. He had never heard of neti pots and actually asked which antibiotic I wanted.*sigh*
Go to the ENT. there's a lot they can do, although, yeah, mostly it's courses of antibiotics, then followed by some amazingly effective procedures. In addition, continual infections could be a sign of a polyp (usually an outgrowth caused by the body trying to repair itself after infection). While I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons not to like the doctor (primarily that he failed to win your confidence), asking which antibiotic you want isn't necessarily a bad sign, because more and more consumers are increasingly educated about their medicines.
