I saw a movie last night called After Hours. Vladimir just picked it off the shelf because I was getting impatient. I didn't know anything about this movie. The plot seemed ok when he read it off the back of the box. Five minutes after we started watching it I noticed that the shots were really interesting and I commented to Vladimir. That's when

I'm a massive fan of the "big" Scorsese movies ("Goodfellas", "Taxi Driver", "Raging Bull"), but there's also always been a special place in my heart for "After Hours". Like you, I didn't know it was Scorsese when I first rented it.

Ya, I just think that there are so many "little" movies by great directors that get overshadowed yet they are really really amazing!

I've seen After Hours as a kid and both liked and feared it. I was like, 12 or 13 when I watched it and it was my first fascination with the back-then mysterious nightlife. Also, got a juvenile crush on Rosanna Arquette, something that I later moved on her sister. :-/

I have to re-rent that movie again some time, I saw it soooo long ago...don't really remember much of it. Hey, and rent Scorcese's "King of Comedy"...I loved De Niro's quirky character in that one, pretty funny stuff.

We just watched Raging Bull, it's quite good, but nothing like After Hours. I'm determined to see them all now.
Also, remind me or Vladimir to tell you a joke we heard about FIAT!
