The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Have you seen "Gone baby gone"? Another Casey Affleck one, that was surprisingly good.

And, of course, on the subject of 'westerns', (OK, not properly a western), you gotta check out 'there will be blood'.

No, I haven't seen Gone Baby Gone, but I liked him so much that I will rent it asap! I've seen 200 cigarettes with him.
How is There will be blood? I just heard it mentioned at the Oscars, but I haven't really looked into it yet.
The Jesse James movie doesn't seem very Hollywood though, that's a part of its charms.

I didn't realize he was in 200 cigarettes, I really liked that one.

Even the title works for me!

Oh, I think that of all the people I could think of, you would so enjoy the expressions in this movie! Just the tiny little things, but you're so good at reading into those.

I loved the movie as well, it is really interesting how the slowness of "new" Western movies makes them really good. I think that just seeing the expressions and listen to conversations in the western movies is exactly what is needed. The gun fights and head hunting is something of a past. The emotinal aspect of those times is something that really catches the audiance. Also, portraying the funny side of it (such as the behavior of Robert Ford) and Iggy Pop's character in the Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch also gives it a bigger meaning. Thank you for a great time during the movie.

I loved that it was slow and more about their interpersonal relations than about the action, although I really enjoyed the train robbery.
Bob's face was the best! It was impossible not to laugh.
