Most orgs are legitimate. Each org differs though, and it depends on what you're looking for. Something easy on the pockets, a child who loves to write or a child whom you can send gifts to

Me too, so I sponsor one with my friends. In some ways it has actually helped bond us together. Fussing over the child, sending her stuff/writing to her etc.. caring about another human being gives you a lovely feeling inside(:
