Personally I'm choosing to believe it's a message from a post-apocalyptic future where the earth has been ravaged by war and mankind is on the brink of extinction. Somehow the clear lone voice of a young innocent has penetrated space and time to offer us a warning of what's to come. Also, Spoil City and Horribletown sound like classic cyberpunk pulp names for cities.
