You didn't see that programme on TV about the top twenty most dangerous drugs? the one that listed alcohol at number 5?
You are surprised that you had the shakes after three beers bottles of wine AND two shots from a Vodka slide.
You do realise that any water left in the vodka is frozen as it slides so what you get is ice cold almost pure alcohol.
People assume that because it is legal alcohol is not dangerous....

I am sorry about that, I just don't know when to shut up sometimes. I worry, you see, that people are just not aware of how easy it is to be dependent upon alcohol without even knowing that they are.
Put it down to me being a grumpy old lady with a HUGE bee in her bonnet about the dangers of alcohol.

*giggle* Glad to hear you let your hair down! ;o) lol...love the pics ;o)

I totally agree with you about alcohol, and do worry about my eldest (Sam) going off to Uni, where im told, things can get a bit out of hand, hopefully no more so than they do here, where a good night out seems to involves a peice of hosepipe and a funnel :o(

I tried not to deprive my kids of alcohol when they were growing up (as thats what had been done to me so i never became a big drinker, whereas Rob was never allowed it as a child, so spent most of his teenage years in a pub!), wine with some dinners, champagne at new year and a couple of alcopops each at Christmas. I'm sure its worked with the younger 2, but Sam seems a bit out of control at times....Peer pressure?
