Alice in Wonderland Thoughts.
Saw Alice in Wonderland today. IMAX 3d. Uh. It was okay. I was entertained but the story seemed a little schizophrenic. Personally, I think I honestly preferred SyFy's Alice to Burton's. Also I understand that Burton's all about pale characters. It works in some settings a la Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands. Kind of seemed more like death at room temperature in this movie, very pale and sickly looking. And I knew what Hatter was going to look like...but it's like why even cast Johnny Depp in this role when you could have cast Elijah Wood because he looked like Elijah Wood and I just found myself looking at his eye make-up (which is very distracting) and being like....can I sense any Depp in there? And the answer was usually no. And then it was like very wishy washy on some things. Let's kill some things but not other things? I dunno. And worst child actor everrrrrrrr.
