NO way, you're also friends with brothercarl. He was an acquaintance of mine at Gay C U.
Ever been to the Spiderhouse Cafe in Austin? Neat place, but they can't make espresso drinks to save their life. Another ACU friend, Colin, is the ASM there.
Yeah, brothercarl was a big help when we were planning the stop at ACU. I actually planned our stop there. My best friend from high school (whose mom is a lesbian) happened to be a freshman there last year. She left after her first year.
Dean Barnard and his wife were super amazing to us during our stop and after. I think if they could have, they would have adopted one of the riders, Jacob. It was definitely one of our more interesting stops to say the least.
There was such a surface level welcoming. They paid for our hotel, our meals, let us use the health center because several of the riders were sick. And yet, there wasn't much.... listening to our message. They were hearing, but not listening if that makes sense.
Anywho, thanks much. I'm definitely adding you back.
Yeah, they're not afraid to sit down with people. I've confronted Barnard myself on several issues. I always thought he was gay. He's rather effeminate. I also had runins with Mimi because I thought she was ignorant about a lot of things.
I'm impressed they paid for your stay. ACU is the most "open minded" of Universities affiliated with CofC. I outed myself to all my music profs when I was there last week. They didn't flinch, but they either heard I was out or already had suspicions.
