It's A Wonderful Season

Supernatural loves me, this I know, because this episode tells me so.

I'm so glad none of my roommates were home while I was watching, because I kept laughing like a lunatic. I think I even snorted a few times when they were talking about their families. They would've thought I'd lost it.

Because there's so much, I'll list what made this episode full of AWESOME!
  • Dean's suit (suspenders!), hair, car, and radio station (changing the radio from rock music?!)
  • Dean still eats funny (or at least I still find him funny when he eats)
  • Dean's the big shot while Sam's just an IT guy
  • The elevator conversation. "What do you think about ghosts? ... Vampires?"
  • Dean telling Sam he overshares. Oh, if only that was really the case.
  • Dean Smith and Sam Wesson. Smith and Wesson! They kept the gun theme (silly Zachariah!), but somehow Sam knew it wasn't the right brand.
  • Sam's little friend laughing at his dreams and calling him Harry Potter
  • The phychic conversation
  • Dean not eating carbs and not having any beer. That's just not right!
  • Sam could feel he had something in his blood (though I guess he couldn't quite feel it was eeeeeeeeeeevil). I also liked how Sam didn't seem at all evil in this episode. Not even morally ambiguous. He's so cute when he's a good boy!
  • Dean doing what he does best. Research!
  • Dean calling Sam Sammy and Sammy not liking it
  • "I found this great website!" Ghostfacers! (Serious cackling here.) And them learning from themselves, basically
  • I totally lost it when Dean talked about his parents, Bob and Ellen, and his sister Jo, and how he went to Stanford
  • Though the best was Sam trying to call his fiancee Madison and getting an animal hospital. If I had been drinking anything (which, sadly, I was not, as there is no liquor in my apartment at the moment) I would have sprayed it all over the living room.
  • The first thing Dean thought about when he became himself again was food. "My God, am I hungry!" Though it is a bit reminiscent of Ruby waking up still wanting french fries, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
  • Zachariah telling Dean that because he drives a classic car and fornicates with beautiful women, he should consider his life a gift. I'm thinking that Zachariah must not be in Castiel's garrison (maybe due to his higher status), because I find him pretty hilarious.
  • Dean telling Zachariah that he'd stab him in the face after Zachariah talked about his daddy issues
I think Zachariah should stick around and keep feeding Dean his pep talks. He was very effective. I bet if Dean got those frequently (like a daily multivitamin after this booster shot) it would help his self esteem. I also love that both boys are meant to hunt, and would find their way to it one way or another. Neither one has always wanted it, but they can't escape it and they are damn good at it., even when they don't know what they're doing.

They nearly fooled me with those elevator doors. As soon as the guy pried them open I thought they were going to close and decapitate him, but when he climbed through fine I thought I was wrong. Then, before I could even write that thought, off pops the head. Tricksy tricksy. And Sam's face was priceless!

I was a little confused when I went back and read the notes I took during the episode. Because I wrote, "Aw - don't believe in density". Hand wrote, too, so it's just a brain fart and not even a typo. Destiny, destiny. You'd have to be an idiot to not believe in density.

This is the best season EVER! I already can't wait until it comes out on DVD and it isn't even over yet.

Aaah, I totally forgot something! Did anyone else find it a little strange when Zachariah was talking to Dean about being who he really is? Not just being the only one who can save the world, but who he really is. Does that mean there's something even more special about him? That'd be sweet!

supernatural, it's a terrible life
