Since there's been some interest in these...and since I noticed that I hadn't posted all of them...here are the rest of the DBZ AU plot bunnies/concepts that I dreamed up!
Please enjoy, and give a heads up if you use any of them!

-Kakarrot meets Gohan and “Jackie Chun” at the Budokai along with the Turtle School (Krillin, Yamcha, and Chichi)
-Kakarrot sees another way to practice martial arts and sees how disposable his comrades are to his teachers and switches sides
#88
-After Grandpa Gohan’s death, Goku is discovered and recruited by the Red Ribbon Army
-He loves all the fighting that he gets to do, and is lied to by his superiors that he’s doing good things instead of terrorizing innocent people
-When the Army starts seeking the dragonballs, he meets Roshi, Ox-king, Chichi, and others and begins to doubt that he’s on the right side
-When his “grandpa” (4-star ball) is appropriated by the Army in preparation for summoning the dragon, he finally rebels

-No positive influence from Gohan
-Kakarrot is all for conquering the world for the Red Ribbon Army as it’s in line with his memory of his mission
-He meets various DB heroes, sees their friendship and power, and becomes disillusioned with the RRA
#90
-Saiyans decide to crossbred with other species to see if any hybrids are equal to/superior to pure-blood Saiyans
-Only low-class Saiyans are selected for this experiment
-Bardock’s sons are selected to participate and are sent with others to Earth, since Earthlings have many similarities to Saiyans and so might be compatible
-Most of those sent to Earth are unhappy since Earthlings lack tails and are weak
-Kakarrot stumbles over Chichi and clumsily tries to woo her to complete his mission so that he can go back home
-Ends up getting attached to her before Gohan is conceived
#91
-Saiyans anger the gods with their selfish pride and are cursed to transform into mindless monsters every full moon, and be trapped that way from their 30th year on
-Instead of cleaning up their act, the Saiyans only grow worse, acting out and living it up during their short “lives”
-The Saiyan King and his Elite hoard magical spells/artifacts for themselves which prolong the time they have as humanoids
-“Goku” is raised apart from the Saiyan lands by humans and only finds out about his cursed fate later in life after his son is born
-Goku argues before Kami and undergoes a quest to break the curse upon the Saiyans before he is trapped as a mindless Oozaru forever
#92
-Goku is born human, but is mutated (by a virus?) while still young and becomes strong and grows a tail
-Grandpa Gohan is also effected, but dies as a result instead of being changed
-(Similar events happen in remote and/or rural areas, but leave the cities largely untouched?)
-(This is why Krillin has no nose, why Chiaotzu looks so strange, why Tien has a third eye?)
#93
-Kakarrot is a battle god/warrior god of the celestial realm
-Basic appearance: Super Saiyan God
-Powered-up appearance: Super Saiyan
-He is an arrogant jerk that eventually gets into enough trouble to get banished to Earth
-His memories are wiped, his powers are sealed, and he is reborn as a mortal infant after being forced to drink a potion
-The potion is contaminated, which results in him having a monkey tail
-He falls from the heavens in a ball of light and lands in the mountains where he’s adopted by Son Gohan, and named Son Goku
-Goku’s mortal life is monitored and judged to see if he is worthy to regain his divine status upon his death
#94

-Lazuli (Human to Android: warrior class)
-Launch and Lunch (Humans to Fused Human: berserker/healer class)
-Real-world characters seek a way to return home…maybe?
#95
-Some DB characters are acquainted with Lapis and Lazuli before Dr. Gero transforms them into Androids #17 and #18
#96
-Goku is badly injured somehow and a wish is made on the dragonballs to heal him
-The wish is badly worded and has unintended side-effects
-Old injuries as well as recent ones are repaired
-Goku re-grows his tail and the brain damage he suffered as a child is undone
-While the tail is obvious, the undamaged brain isn’t and it’s a while before anyone realizes what’s going on
-Goku sometimes reacts oddly, not quite like himself
-He dreams of Kakarrot’s memories-his parents and how he treated Grandpa Gohan
#97
-Grandpa Gohan dies shortly after Goku’s accident, when he’s still very young
-The monkeys of Mount Paozu take him in and raise him (like Tarzan)
-Many years later, the Ox King and his daughter Chichi travel to the mountain to see what became of Son Gohan as a sort of vacation
-Goku meets creatures that seem to be just like him
-…Except that they don’t have tails
-Chichi and the Ox King (with help from Bulma and others?) try to educate and civilize the strange monkey boy in hopes of learning Gohan’s fate, and who and what Goku is
#98
-Saiyans have a wide variety of ethnic variations, with many traits that are only visible in the Oozaru form
-Variable traits in “human” form:
-Skin tone
-Height and build
-Ear shape (rounded or pointed/elfin)
-Hair color (black (common), brown (uncommon), red (rare))
-Eye color (black (common), brown (uncommon), hazel, amber, red (rare))
-Length of canine teeth
-Tail length
-Variable traits in Oozaru form:
-Fur length and “style” (short, long and shaggy, short and long)
-Fur color (single solid, two-tone, multi-colored)
-Fur markings (white markings, black markings)
-Size difference from base form (minimal growth to maximum)
-Arm length to leg length ratio (equal (monkey) to longer arms-to-legs (gorilla))
#99
-Saiyans are demons/monsters that look like GT’s SS4 and transform into massive Oozaru with the light of the full moon
-Kakarrot is sent to conquer Earth when he is around 7 years old
-Kami is able to stop him and decides to show him mercy, since he is a child and capable of change
-Kami uses a powerful sealing magic on Kakarrot to lock away his power and memories and transform him into a human so that he can have a fresh start
-However, Kakarrot is too strong and the magic seal is only mostly successful
-The child retains his tail (goes from red to brown), his sharp senses, and some strength
-When he looks at the full moon, the seal temporarily fails and he becomes Oozaru
-Kakarrot’s personality/memories aren’t erased, only suppressed, and Kakarrot remains “conscious”, watching the new “human” personality live his life
-The new being created by Kami’s intervention is given to Son Gohan, who names the child Son Goku and strives to raise him to be a good boy
-Goku is completely ignorant of his origins as Kakarrot and oblivious to his accidental Oozaru rampages
-When Goku is made aware of his previous name and identity, he occasionally begins to hear Kakarrot speaking in his head
-(Kami seals other Saiyans, but since they are much older they retain their memories/identities?)
-Eventually the seal breaks, but Goku remains the dominant personality and can return to his more “human” appearance at will
#100
-The Ox King makes a terrible enemy (King Piccolo?) who steals his daughter away and curses him, binding him to his castle on top of a mountain, surrounded by flames
-Chichi is carried far away to a desert palace built by the imp emperor Pilaf where she is imprisoned
-(King Piccolo?) finds a monster near Mount Paozu (Goku cursed to be trapped as an Oozaru) and has it guard Chichi like a guardian dragon/monster
-The Ox King is able to send a message to his old mentor, Muten Roshi the Turtle Hermit, and request help
-Roshi collects a few young warriors (Krillin, Yamcha, Tien?, Chiaotzu?, Bulma) on his way to Mount Fry Pan, and the Ox King hires them to find and rescue his precious daughter
-Meanwhile, Chichi has managed to escape, being much tougher than (King Piccolo?) anticipated, has tamed her monster ape captor, and tries to find her way home on her own
-Chichi accidentally runs into her “rescuers” who mistakenly believe that her giant monkey friend is holding her captive/might eat her
-Eventually they all team up to defeat the enemy and break all his curses
#101
-Saiyans are native to “Planet Plant” and Tuffles are invaders
-The Saiyans unite to destroy the invaders, name their world “Vegeta” after their leader, and take over the remains of Tuffle technology
-Saiyans become a space-faring race
#102
-Saiyans with their tails get horny when they look at an almost full moon (a few days before & after the full moon)
-The high levels of Blutz waves cause them to transform slightly (more instinctual, longer fangs)
-Those that don’t breed before the full moon can use their Oozaru exploits and the fact that they still have the energy after the full moon to impress/win over a stubborn potential mate
-Saiyans that lose their tails only get a real boost to the libido on the night of the full moon since the lack of tail messes with their hormones, but their bodies still try to react in response to the full moon
#103
-A “Blue Lagoon” scenario…
-Grandpa Gohan takes Goku and his friend’s daughter, Chichi, on a boat trip across the ocean
-A terrible storm sinks the ship and only the three of them make it out alive, washing up on a remote island with no way to escape (no flying, no Flying Nimbus, and it’s too far to swim anywhere/currents too strong)
-For a while Grandpa Gohan looks after the two children in his care and educates them as best he can, but he mostly focuses on martial arts since he’s best at that
-One night Goku looks at the full moon and transforms, knocking Chichi out before she sees much and killing Grandpa Gohan
-From that point on, Goku and Chichi are alone and grow up with no guidance on things like puberty, sex, or babies
-By the time the Ox King manages to find them (he was held up in looking for them by Mount Fry Pan’s eternal fire and some kingdom rebuilding that he couldn’t just drop) they’ve managed to spawn baby Gohan
#104
-Male and female Saiyans live separately and only interact to breed and present the fathers with their sons
-Male Saiyans tend to be nomadic, moving around in small groups (2-10 individuals, larger groups tend to break down due to competition) or as lone wolves
-Female Saiyans tend to live more stationary lives in larger groups where they nurture specific plants (medicines, some food crops), hunt (fish and small game) and gather (wild plants), and raise their babies and daughters
-Male Saiyans offer gifts of animal pelts, rare fruits, large game, and other trade-able items to female settlements to earn the opportunity to breed or get medical treatment
#105
-Kakarrot arrives on Earth shortly before Bulma sets out on the first dragon ball hunt
-He is a weak, clumsy Saiyan and fears that he is an embarrassment to his parents, so he sets out on this mission solo in hopes of becoming stronger
-His landing is very rough, damaging his space pod and scouter
-He ends up traveling with Bulma on the hunt as a “good guy” in hopes of meeting strong opponents
-When he learns that the Eternal Dragon and the wish are real, he plans on gathering the dragon balls and wishing for strength
-Things keep getting in the way of his quest, he finds new teachers to learn from and grow stronger, and eventually he grows attached to the Earth
-By the time he is a teenager (after beating Piccolo Jr), seeing that no Saiyans have come to find him, he decides to stay on Earth and never brings his space ship or scouter to Bulma for repairs
-Bardock, Gine, and Raditz (and a sister? Taanip?) eventually head to Earth to see what happened to Kakarrot
#106
-Son Gohan (Sr) is an elderly Saiyan (original Saiyan name: Raice) who has retired (was exiled?) and settled on Earth
-He is knowledgeable on ancient Saiyan traditions and practices that modern Saiyans have forgotten/abandoned/rejected
-After researching Earth’s martial arts, he settles on Mount Paozu
-Kakarrot arrives in his vicinity and he takes the child in, educating him in both Saiyan and Earthling ways
#107
-Same as #106, but Bardock (and other Saiyans?) also show up on Earth and learn from Elder Gohan
#108
-DB characters work for a major company (Capsule Corporation)

-Chichi is convinced that Goku is flirting with her, when he’s really just making polite conversation
-Bulma vs Vegeta vs Yamcha
-Krillin has an enormous crush on Lazuli [18], but is far too intimidated to make a move
#109
-DB characters are humans in high school that attend a Halloween costume party…
-Real magical dragon balls on exhibit in the local museum get struck by lightning and cause a magical shockwave during the Halloween party (2 days before actual Halloween, so not everyone in town is in costume)
-Those in costume become “fused” with their “character”, developing powers, abilities, knowledge, etc
-Goku goes as his “namesake”, Son Goku of Journey to the West…only he has limited knowledge of the actual story, so he dresses up as a martial artist with a monkey tail instead of dressing as an actual monkey
-Chichi dresses as a Chinese warrior princess
-Bulma dresses as a futuristic girl genius with a blue wig (she’s supposed to be blonde)
-Yamcha dresses as a desert bandit with a stuffed cat sidekick (gift from Bulma, becomes animated into Puar)
-Piccolo (and his twin brother Nail) dresses as a space alien
-Krillin dresses as a Buddhist monk
-Tien dresses as an Asura monster with three eyes and four arms
-Chiaotzu dresses like a Chinese vampire
-Vegeta dresses as an alien warrior prince; after Bulma repeatedly complains that he doesn’t look alien enough he makes a quick run to a costume shop and adds a monkey tail shortly before the event
-Raditz (high school alumni, attends as a chaperone) dresses as the “missing link” with caveman furs, a long shaggy wig (his hair wasn’t that long originally), and a monkey tail
-Baba (school nurse, attends as a chaperone) dresses as an elderly witch/fortune-teller
-Roshi (guidance councilor, attends as a chaperone) dresses as an eccentric martial arts master with a turtle shell, staff, plush sea turtle [Turtle], and plush Communist pig [Oolong] as props
-Nappa (gym teacher, attends as a chaperone) dresses as a bodybuilder, and is later dared by Raditz into adding a monkey tail
-Yajirobe dresses as a ronin samurai
-Upa dresses as a Native American
-Marron dresses as a model
-Korin (history teacher, chaperone) dresses as a white cat and jokes that he’s ancient and has witnesses history instead of just studying it and hands out “magic beans” to his favorite students (he grows herbs and beans as a hobby)
-“King Furry” (school principal, chaperone) dresses up as a dog, claims that he’s king of the world (for laughs), and insists that the teachers refer to him as King Furry
-Shen (the other guidance counselor) dresses as an elderly martial arts master with a bird hat and calls himself the Crane Hermit
-Launch dresses as a blonde (it’s a wig) tough girl with a gun, but can’t stay in character for long; when the event happens, she’s sneezing in the midst of getting back in character
-“Kami” (vice principal, Piccolo and Nail’s uncle, chaperone) dresses as the planet’s guardian/deity
-“Demon King” Piccolo (Piccolo and Nail’s father, former teacher, parent chaperone) claims to be the wicked half of “Kami” and a demon but dresses like his “space alien” sons
-Mr. Popo (school secretary, chaperone) dresses as a genie-like spirit
-Dr. (Mr.) Gero (technology teacher, robotics club, sets up tutoring for jocks, chaperone) dresses as a mad scientist (many of the jocks he’s helped keep from failing have military themed costumes for the fictional Red Ribbon Army)
-Frieza dresses as an alien tyrant
-Cooler (Frieza’s older brother) also dresses as an alien tyrant
-Pilaf (a freshman) paints his face blue, wears pointy ears, and claims to be an emperor
-Mai dresses as a female henchman
-Shu dresses as a dog ninja
-Lapis [17] (Mr. Gero’s nephew) dresses as an android in the RRA
-Lazuli [18] (Mr. Gero’s niece) dresses as an android in the RRA
-??? [16] (Mr. Gero’s son) dresses an android in the RRA
-Cell (a transfer student mentored by Mr. Gero) dresses as a monster created by the RRA
-Gyu Mao (parent, chaperone) dresses as the “Ox King”
-“King Kai” (school superintendent) paints his face blue, wears shades and Chinese-themed robes, glues little rubber whiskers on his face, wears a hat with long antennae, and carries around a stuffed monkey [Bubbles], and claims to be a deity of a higher plane and comedy genius (but everybody thinks he’s incredibly weird)
-??? [19] (substitute teacher, Mr. Gero’s good friend) dresses as an android in the RRA
-Dr. Briefs (parent, chaperone) dresses as an absent-minded genius inventor (basically himself) with a black stuffed kitten on his shoulder
-Mercenary Tao (school security, much younger half-brother of Shen, chaperone) dresses as a martial artist and assassin, wearing a lot of his favorite color (pink)
-Traits not only come from their costumes, but their relation to others affected, others affected who wore similar costumes, and their character “back-stories” (several teachers offered extra credit to students who wrote essays about their costumes and most took up that offer; a few teachers also write essays for fun/for examples for the students)
-Example 1: Kami, Demon King Piccolo, Piccolo, Nail, and Dende (too young to attend party, but was planning on dressing up like his elders) all become aliens with green skin, antennae, and fangs even though not all of them are aliens because they are closely related
-Example 2: Goku and Raditz are brothers, and Vegeta and Nappa are of the same ethnic group, and all share similar traits drawn from their costumes (all of which included the same kind of tail) and from Goku’s (he needed the credit) and Vegeta’s (he did it for laughs) character essays, and several relatives (parents, siblings) who don’t attend the party/aren’t wearing costumes at the time also take on these traits
-Objects/possessions/homes/histories that appear in student essays come into existence after The Event
-Example: Chichi writes about how she and her father live in a castle built in the ruins of Mount Fry Pan; when she heads home, she finds that her modest house has been replaced by a castle built in the ruins of a mountain (neighboring houses still exist, but have been moved to the side to make room for her upgraded residence)
-Other popular costumes include: animal people, martial artists, werewolves, demons, ogres, police officers, Native Americans, witches, aliens, and ninjas
-Costumes of famous people/characters are against party rules to encourage students to be creative
-Several party decorations are also affected: paper mache dinosaurs, dragons, prehistoric birds
-Most of those affected roll with the changes due to the party atmosphere and some disorientation from the magic pulse, but when the sun rises and they aren’t back to normal a lot of people freak out
-These changes are permanent
#110
-Similar to #109, except many DB characters are in elementary school and The Event happens on Halloween, so everyone (children and adults) are in costume
-The younger characters take the changes in stride
-Adult characters are more concerned/see the consequences
-Younger characters essentially grow up with these changes and have little or no memory of what it was like to be “normal”
#111
-Similar to #109, except DB characters are in college
-The dragonballs are stored in some dusty college archive instead of a museum
-The college campus is in the middle of nowhere, close to where Chichi and Goku grew up, which is part of the reason that they attend
-Country bumpkin accents are common
-The college party has various contests: best costume, best group costume, best back story, etc
-Chichi writes about being married and having a young son in her back story
-The Event creates a 2 year old named Gohan…with a tail (because Goku is the daddy)
#112
-Bardock is the disowned son of an elite warrior
-Disowned for having a low-class mother and a low power level at birth
-Bardock eventually tracks daddy down, but is again rejected (origin of his scar?)
#113
-Gine is the disowned daughter of an elite warrior
-Abandoned for being weak and having a low-class father
-She is later looked up by a maternal uncle
#114
-Saiyans can bond with their mates, but most don’t
-To bond, the participants must bite each other at the juncture of neck and shoulder, ingest a bit of blood, and comingle their energies (this must be done in base form, the Oozaru’s mind is too chaotic and instinctual to form a connection)
-This creates a permanent link between the two by which they can share thoughts, dreams, and emotions
-Normally to do any of this requires focus, but in times of stress emotions tend to leak
-Bonding generally takes place in the midst of mating, although some do it before or after, and it is always an intensely private affair
-To force a bond on an unwilling partner is difficult and a worse crime than rape
-Saiyans can bond with humans since they are compatible breeding partners, but the connection is weaker and takes longer to master
-Bardock and Gine bond almost by mistake
#115
-Related to #114…
-Chichi sneaks out one summer night to hunt fireflies long past her bedtime
-Kakarrot is partially transformed (it’s a full moon, but shrouded by clouds) and on a rampage through the forest near Chichi’s home
-Chichi is attacked by a “monster” that bites her shoulder and she retaliates in kind
-A bond is spontaneously formed, ending the attack and sending the “monster” running, but it is weak and malformed since Chichi is human and they are young children
-Afterwards Kakarrot has no memory of what he did
-Chichi and Kakarrot never meet as children

-Ignorant of his royal lineage and fuzzy on his alien nature he grows up as an Earthling, and manages to marry a (minor) Earth princess anyway (Chichi)

-Baba foresees the arrival of a great evil and prepares a powerful curse to ensnare it when it arrives
-About the time of the start of DB, events lead to most of the DB characters being present at Baba’s Palace for the triggering of the curse
-The Crane School (Shen, Tao Pai Pai, Tien, Chiaotzu) challenges the Turtle School (Roshi, Gohan, Gyu-Mao) at Baba’s, threatening to trash the place if they don’t show
-Yamcha and Puar are sneaking into the palace in hopes of finding stuff to steal and/or a magical talisman that will cure Yamcha of his paralyzing fear of beautiful girls
-Oolong is breaking into another part of the palace hoping to find some magic that will erase the time limit on his transformations
-Krillin has just run away from the temple where he was raised and happened to wander into the area while he ponders his next move
-Launch is visiting the palace in hopes of finding a cure to her issue with sneezing
-Yajirobe is skulking around the fringes of the property, thinking about lunch
-Demon King Piccolo’s rice cooker prison happens to be tucked away in the palace attic
-Baba warns the warring schools to stop and flee when she has a premonition that the curse will soon be activated, lest they be caught up in the magic too, but only Gyu-Mao listens (he’s a single dad, his kingdom is in poor shape, and his castle was just demolished when Roshi put the burning mountain out)
-Four space pods appear and crash near the palace, releasing four Saiyans: Kakarrot, Raditz, Nappa, and Prince Vegeta
-Young Prince Vegeta locks onto the nearby battle and gleefully prepares to slaughter them for sport before moving on to conquer the rest of the planet
-Baba warns the Saiyans to leave Earth or suffer the consequences, but they don’t pay attention to her

-Gohan becomes an anthro four-tailed white fox
-The Crane School members become Tengu (Shen: white crane, Tao Pai Pai: black crane, Tien: eagle, Chiaotzu: owl)
-Launch becomes an anthro cat
-Puar and Oolong don’t change, but their shape-shifting magic is limited, preventing them from taking any human form
-Yajirobe is turned into an anthro bear
-Baba is sealed into her crystal ball
-Demon King Piccolo remains sealed in the rice cooker, but he can move it around, speak to the residents of the palace, and with great effort can throw eggs
-Tambourine, Piano, Drum, and Piccolo Junior hatch in the palace and are not transformed, but are bound by the other parts of the curse (no killing residents, no leaving the grounds)
-All of those cursed cannot leave the palace grounds, and they cannot kill each other
-If any Saiyans try to come rescue the cursed ones or punish the Earth, they too will fall under the curse’s power
-The curse will last seven years (they are powered by the dragon balls, hidden deep in the palace basement) at the end of which it will become permanent
-The curse can only be broken when the Saiyans learn the value of life, and when the prince in particular learns to love and be loved
-Six years later, Bulma and her father pull over at the seemingly abandoned palace to fix their car during a trip home from a technology conference
-When the weather turns nasty they take shelter inside and meets a few of the residents before a furious Prince Vegeta arrives on the scene
-He is about the kill them, but Bulma stands up to him and manages to strike a deal: her father will go free and persuade a princess to come and visit, and she will stay as collateral
-On Roshi’s advice, Dr. Briefs visits the Ox Kingdom and gives Chichi an invitation to Baba’s Palace
-Chichi finds Prince Vegeta an awful creature and is instead drawn to “Goku” (Kakarrot), who has made friends with pretty much all the non-Saiyan cursed residents of the palace
-Bulma, meanwhile, drives Vegeta up the wall, always arguing and butting heads with him
-Soon the last year of the curse begins to run out…
