What ever happened to Shampoo that just smelled like shampoo?

I am so sick of navigating all the bottles of shampoo that smell either like old lady perfume, jolly rancher candies or the sharpest potpourri on earth.

honestly - is it too much to ask for a normal benign scent for under $5 a bottle?

Pantene Classic Clean is what I use... smells fairly close to what shampoo should smell like.
