iZombie wrapped up its fourth season last night, and even though I assume there's only, like, three people reading this who care (out of the possibly six people reading this at all), I'm going to go under a cut for spoilers. ( Read more... )
I don't watch any of these shows, though Killing Eve intrigues me. I feel shitty saying it, b/c I think Sandra Oh is a terrific actress, but she is one of those people whose faces I always have to struggle to look at. Samantha Morton is another one... sometimes their work overpowers my strange revulsion, though
( ... )
Killing Eve is only eight episodes, and is about smart, ruthless women who want to kill each other but are also wildly attracted to each other, AND are both also kind of weirdos, so I definitely recommend it for the next time you're looking for something to watch.
.I believe there is a huge, intense emotional thing related to hormones that some people experience and call their 'biological clock', but I only believe it b/c I trust some friends' accounts
Yeah, I'm with you. There was just a big void wherever my 'biological clock' was supposed to be. I think babies are cute, but I've never had the desire to spend more than an hour with one! I appreciate that most women are drawn to motherhood at some point in their lives, but it would certainly be nice if shows occasionally reflected the fact that not every woman wants to be a mother (and Watson would actually be a really good character to explore that with).
Also still watching Izombie and enjoying you writing about it immensely. I was also a bit disappointed by Chase end, I have a bit of a crush on the actor from Veronica Mars and I thought he was giving the character way more nuance than the writing did in the end.
IZombie is still my goto fun show.
I think the only other thing I am watching right now is the handmaid's tale.
During the first half of the season I thought that Chase was being written as genuinely conflicted and regretful, but towards the end it seems like they just decided to go with "VILLAIN!!" as a motivation, and I would agree that Dohring seemed to be giving off more shades of grey than the writing was providing.
In a better world, I would be watching The Handmaid's Tale too, but it just seems Too Real under the current circumstances. I am all about the escapist TV these days.
