two things about the BG and one about me

1. The other day on the way to school the BG reminisced about grandpapa's cat that died, and then observed that our cat will die at some point. (The cat's almost 21 and very frail, so this is something we've discussed.) And I said something like, "Yep, everything that's alive eventually dies, people and animals and plants

But I dread the day that questions like that come up. Especially since those are totally my biggest fear areas.

I can't even imagine how much harder that would make those conversations ...

I am generally forthcoming (to a fault, I worry sometimes) about any kind of difficult question, but I just could not be the person who makes sure a 3.5-year-old comprehends her own mortality.
