Last night's dream: Two very, very large bears broke into my house, so I had to take my two children, Rosie and Emmy, to the top of the driveway where we wrapped ourselves in a bit of old chainlink fence and called 911, which was remarkably unhelpful.

I visited Maxine last Friday. I hadn't seen her since the Tuesday before I left for school. In an hour, I caught her up on the four months of the biggest shift in my life. I haven't looked at myself in the mirror for onto four days now. I just did and it is a good thing I don't leave the house for more than the dog.

1. The kids are always opening presents before we arrive. Because Pat and I were the only anxious children before these goons were born, there wasn't as much fervent pressure on Grandpa Griffin to give them to us early.
