I don't know if I've told all of you this, but I have to write 40 poems for my undergraduate creative writing thesis by September 15th.

All of this pretty much means I need to start...now.

I need some sort of concept or idea that is loose enough that it's not too academic (academic=40 poems all about people commiting suicide, or 40 poems that all use

I've thought about that before, honestly, because I wrote this really scientific poem pulled from Grey's Anatomy (the book, not the godforsaken tv show) about the uterus masculina and I loved using scientific terminology in my poetry (it just sounds /awesome/), so I may.

I remember that one: one of the reasons I suggested it.

It also can be tricky to nail down as a unifying topic as science is pretty damn broad while remaining identifiable.

If I had to read 40 poems about the same thing I would want them to be about science.
