It is possible to "think" yourself sick in a couple different ways, sort of. One can be a Hypochondriac, in which case they constantly think they have some kind of illness based on normal bodily events that seem like side effects or symptoms.

Or I'd imagine one could experience some sort of reverse placebo effect, wherein they imagine themselves sick (rather than healthy or whatever the placebo effect would be used for), and actually feel sick as a result.

My guess is you're genuinely sick. :P Although I'm convinced that believing one is sick is almost the new form of self-mutilation; it's either that or being a vegan is, because I a person in a few of my classes is a vegan and she's doing herself more harm than good. She's out sick all the time. And then there are people I know who literally think they're sick all the time, and maybe even are sick all the time, but I'm skeptical about how genuine their illnesses are at times. I think they just want to miss school or arouse pity or something like that. :P ( ... )
