You could come over here! Thaere is quite alot of live music here, but I don't know anything about any paleopathology programs!

Seriously though, I hope that things get better for you soon. Good luck with everything and take care.

Oh, and you should totally come to New England. I mean, Boston? Center of music, liberalism and biotechnology for most of the Northeast!

And it's just a stone-throw to Newport, RI for the annual summer folk fest :)

Well, other than that I hope you are doing well. That fruit fly ovary thing sounds insanely hard.

I recommend Pittsburgh,PA. It is no longer the industrial town that it used to be. First of all, we have a pretty good live music scene in town. We have a number of live music clubs and a lot to offer. I recommend an evening in the Strip District, the South Side, or Oakland to see the full breadth of the scene. We also have a number of outstanding graduate schools in the biomedical sciences. Formost of them is the University of Pittsburgh which is partnered with the world reknown UPMC system of hospitals (Allegheny, Presbyterian, Childrens). If you do not care for those, there are also the other schools of Duquense University and Carnegie Mellon University.
Pittsburgh is a very interesting city with lots to offer.
It is also very Canadian friendly. ;-P

Canadian friendly = big plus! I will definitely look into these, though for some reason I'm gettin all fixated on the Carolinas.
