OK. Apparently some shy fanfic writers took my last post - the drinking game - as criticism, and are now haunted by that list of stereotypes and cannot bring themselves to write anymore, for fear that they will be ridiculed by people like me.

No; this was written at least ten years ago, on a dinky college paper, which I can't remember the name of, and it probably has no internet archives anyway. But I bet there are lots of other Star Trek drinking games out there!

Mmmm. I for one thought the drinking game was really great. But I guess people can be (overly) sensitive to things sometimes, eh? Don't pay any attention to it.

Cool, some one who remembers Northern Exposure (They had a rerun here on a french language channel, thank god they subtitled instead of doing the usual re-voicing in french...)

So they are finally going to release it all then? YESS!!!

I was taping everything from the french language channel I spoke about, because I figured it would be my last chance, since they never released more than 4 episodes on tape, and only in the states (that's what I heard anyway).

Do you have any link to the DVD announcement or a that will sell it or somehting like that?

Oh no, I just realised, it's going to be region 1 probably. And I don't have a multi-region player! :-(

you do remember this is still your LJ, right :P? And you should be able to write what the hell you want in it, right?

It seams that you need some kind of footnote to remind people to take your posts that are supposed to be funny (and they mostly are too, if you ask me) with some actual humour. These "btw ppl, that was a joke, you know - hehe" posts are also funny, sure, but I hope you don't feel it's your responsibility to satisfy everyone.

The apology posts are a strange psychological feature of mine, aren't they? :) In this case, I wasn't going to write one, but I heard that certain fanfic writers who I actually admire quite a bit were made to feel insecure or uneasy because of that list. So I wanted to hasten to reassure them, in my own strange way.
