Mom wouldn't permit us to watch anything insipid. Mom didn't like Munsters, but thought Adams Family was fine.

I gotta agree with her assessment. I loved Addams Family for the same reasons you and Mom did!

Addams family, hands down. I thought the Munsters were mean to the pretty girl which made me sad.

Here we only saw The Munsters (The Adams Family was like Maybury RFD and Gilligans Island unknown to us here). I certainly liked the Munsters partly because of Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis who had come thru Car 54 Where Are You?
The Adams Family, I really only knew thru the movies. I thought the whole family was great..........slightly dark, subversive even.
It still makes me laugh to think we had a guy in our office who was young, bald headed and never spoke to anyone..........we nicknamed him Uncle Fester :)

I much preferred the Addams family. Uncle Fester reminded me of my Mum's dad. Our cat was called Boobelah. Tish, that's French... (except it's not)

Hubby apparently preferred the Munsters. Huh?
