I'm going to sign up for exchange-bingo!!! This is the coolest idea ever! I am so impressed. Anyways for moi to participate I must prove I can produce art. What beautiful quilts! The first is lovely and makes a fabulous tapesty, I absolutely love the colors on the second, and I'm pretty sure it's a good thing I don't know your daughter or else I would steal that adorable pink/lavender quilt in a snap!

I've made two (very small) quilts, one of which I posted to my LJ. They weren't anything special, and I'm just self-taught, employing basic sewing and construction skills to make what may or may not constitute quilting patterns. I'd like to play around and try my hand at others, but I don't have a lot of spare fabric laying around, and I'm afraid I would fail at planning color palettes.

It does take a bit to build up your fabric stash. I think it was a good 2 years after I started sewing before I had scraps to play around with. I took 3-4 machine quilting classes when I got started. Now I am on my own! I find sewing to be very relaxing. Link me to your quilt so I can seeeeeeee it!

These quilts are lovely. I really enjoy your eye for color combinations and fabric patterns. I love how the center square in your Ohio Star really gives a visual punch.

You are so kind for saying so. I tend to feel self conscience when I shop for fabric. Its me and a bunch of retired woman. I tend to head for the flashier colors and patterns. ((Giggles))
