thanks for posting this, molly. makes me saddened and perhaps overly-nostalgic. it is really sad that everything was whitewashed, and the cannes-hell bypass is now plugged. how unfortunate. :(

Yeah. Not *everything* is gone - a handful of murals were preserved, i.e., Cliff's Star Wars mural is still there. :) But the loss of the Bypass is pretty heartbreaking.
