omg..."it's not my anniversary anymore"...good lord. Talk about a knife to the heart to read. I once told a friend of mine who was going through some things that such anniversaries are times to tell yourself that "I remember".
I love the part about Olive Garden; yeah..those kinds of restaurants are always my comfort places too. LOL...give me a Red Lobster too while your at it.
Here's hoping you can find something to do with all that ravioli! haha.
I know. I almost lost it at my mom's comment. She and I have extremely different ways of grieving. I look at anniversaries as a time for remembering, too.
Red Lobster is really yummy, too. I have't been there in quite a log time . . . All restaurant prices have gone up significantly, but they seem to have raised prices even more. Still, that would be good for a change, sometime soon.
Three of us ate five bags of ravioli in maybe two weeks. It was not a problem. :)
It really is funny the things that you do in that grief state - buying five bags of lasagna is really not that bad! This was really touching and well-written. I hope things are going well for you. :)
Grief is weird like that. I, too, would avoid people at the grocery store in order to avoid a crying jag. And probably be looking for the most comforting of comfort foods, if I could. So five bags of ravioli makes perfect sense.
