on saturday night i decided it would be nice to go to a show with my good friends ian and ainsley. little did i know you pretty much need to be insane to attend. it all started out fine and dandy.. everyone seemed all nice and you know.. "hardcore". then the first band i was there to see began to play. within seconds this group of about 12 people

that's not what happens at shows. that's what happens at recent hardcore shows, so IT IS something new.

You all need to chill OUT... The fact is everyone knows the scene is stupid and lame. There are the people who choose to be part of the scene, and there all the exact same, we all know what they are like, EVERYBODY ALREADY KNOWS THAT SO STOP WHINING AND TRYING TO BE SO RIGHTEOUS ABOUT IT. If you have such a huge problem with the scene don't go to shows because thats all your going to get is stupid scene kids. You can either A) learn to live with it by accepting that it is a trend that will eventually go away or B) Be doomed to live a life hating on it and having evryone in it hate you. Majorly half of the scene kids arent even bad people. It's a few bad apples that spoil the whole bunch. So stop being so friggin narrow minded. It's all a trend which will wash away sooner or later it's called THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND THAT SHIT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

Well, I wouldnt have posted anonymously but, i don't have a livejournal, my name is cody de beer if you care THAT much about who i am. The situation with the other girl is a little different anyways, i'm sure never wnet up to any of the bands, stole the microphone from them and then proceeded to tell them to suck your dicks. The fact is your whining about something that eveyrbody whines about. It's not going to change. So stop caring about it so much, if you go to a hardcore show expecting there to be peace and unity you can think again, hardcore kids like to fight. DEAL WITH IT. I myself, am not a hardcore kid, i don't support theyre fighting, i find it to be rather childish, but the fact is, if you try and tell them it's stupid they will jut fight you. So all you can do is really stay out of there way, and stop complaining about it. It is jsut the realization one should coem to about hardcore music. And i'm glad to see you've almost come to that realization.

well really that is not what hardcore is. that might be what newmarket hardcore is...? and in that case it's actually a bunch of white boys in suburbia trying to be tough. and may i say, an extremely feeble attempt at that, but non-the-less it can lose venues, and 'innocent' people can get hurt.
yes, hardcore kids like to fight, but they do it in a respectful way. not scaring kids that don't want to be in the pit and who are there to just watch the music. at real hardcore shows it is the people who want to fight punch the fuck out of each other, and when they fall they are still picked up.

this does need to change, and it probably will. what's happening is fucking stupid. fine... fight all you want, but fight each other, no gang-beats, and no threats upon bystanders. surprisingly that will solve a lot.

its funny, people keep saying that hardcore is a trend that they wish would die out... but its not going to just die. Hardcore is a sub genre of music essentially based around inner strength and not giving a fuck. Read some of Hatebreeds lyrics.
