The bar was not a particularly nice one by any stretch of the imagination - the furniture had seen better days and the waitresses were clearly bored and incompetent to boot. Klaus loves these shady little joints, to be perfectly honest. They remind him of the back rooms in the 20s, during prohibition, where gin was made in bathtubs and everyone knew how to really have a good time.

Molokov has a reputation, of course. Not only in the chess world, but in the KGB as being a particularly ruthless individual. And Klaus likes ruthless individuals.

He slides into the booth with a smile and offers his hand, "Good evening, Comrade."

"Have you really? I must be doing something wrong, then." A firm hand shake is an indicator of the sort of person one is working with, and Klaus approves of Molokov's.
