Among the "many reasons" that I believe the Iraq War "had to be done" is this: we made the monster, and it was our responsibility to destroy it. I don't blame Reagan for doing what had to be done to win the bigger war with Communism, but I will readily admit that many of his foreign policy decisions had unintended long-term consequences which have proven... problematic. Had you asked rather than accusing me, I would have gladly said so.
And Cheesie, I'm voting Libertarian this time around, even if it means voting for Ron Paul. (OK, I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth.)
