Why do people get to stay in jobs that they fail miserably at? A reasonable person would think that accepting and returning a drycleaning order would be pretty much within the skill set of a person working behind a dry cleaners counter, right ( Read more... )

There was this show on cable a while back. I think it was called "Who's more irritating?" Couples secretly video taped their partners and brought their "evidence" before a panel of judges who voted and declared one or the other partner the more irritating of the two. One guy was accused of never checking receipts. His partner set him up to run errands and instructed all the clerks to overcharge the guy. He didn't check any of the receipts, and was overcharged dozens of dollars altogether. It was pretty irritating for a cheapskate like me to watch, but I did notice that the guy who never checked his receipts was without question the happier of the two men.

I was planning to check it all when I arrived home and could sort it all out! I KNEW it was wrong at the time, I just didn't have all the EVIDENCE!!
PS, I loved that show!
