I registered Alex for JK two days ago. How can that be? I know it sounds cliche, but how is it possible that my last child is going to Kindergarten already?
I'm scared. And I know John is too. He's been having nightmares about Alex for weeks. They always end with Alex's face burnt and disfigured. What is that about?

You and John are super awesome parents Chantal, and I know that Alex is going to thrive in j/k. All day/alternate day j/k is going to be good for you too I think, because you will still get to have days where you and he can be footloose and fancy free together. I think he will love that. :o)
Mikayla gets her first report card next Friday and I am fretting it a wee bit. She is the perfect half of each Jonathan and Brianna in school. She is helpful and loves to do her work and answers questions just like Brianna, but, like Jonathan, she likes being the class clown, rushing through her work to go and play and telling the teachers that things are just *too hard* for her. lol Oh well. Brianna got 3's and 4's in j/k and Jonathan got 1's and 2's. Wonder where that leaves Mikayla? hehehe

I know Alex has specific issues, but I know we've talked a bit in the past about some of Isaac's difficulties regarding speech. He made great progress his two years in preschool but still wasn't quite to his friends level when starting JK. FWIW, he's improved by leaps and bounds since starting in September. Every kid has some issues when adjusting to JK--Alex's may not be the same as someone else's, but he'll have his own things at which he excels.
Could some of the anxiety be that the "baby" is starting school and you're finally full on into that next stage of parenting? ;o)
