Have you considered taking up diving too? Have you tested him to find out if he's really interested in diving or looking for an activity without you? Wow alot of warning signals are showing I really hope we're both wrong. Maybe its a temporary thing and he will come back to his senses. Maybe he really does love diving. Wish I could help, sorry I can't.
