Another Lackluster Weekly Report
And this one is late, too.
For the last two weeks, we have been studying the Vikings. This has been very eye-opening for me. I had no idea I missed so much history. I went to good schools in Iowa and was in the advanced track, and yet, I still missed a ton of this stuff. I'm not quite sure if my head was in the sand or if it just wasn't taught.

Happy Anniversary!
It's our 16th wedding anniversary today. Vern is out of town, but we may celebrate once he returns. Time seems to be at a premium right now.

Week 1 - Homeschooling Again
We took the summer off of homeschooling. I hadn't really planned to do it, since we have a baby coming and all, but it happened anyway. I think that the girls really enjoyed the time off. Craziness
My nephew is here. He loves this local swimming place. Last week, I took the kids there, as I had a free pass. I decided to take them again today. Truly, I am nuts. For some reason, I thought it would be an ok idea to have 9 children, ranging in age from 13 - 4 here for the evening. 4 of them are mine. 5 are a friend's children. They have been here since 6:30. Post-Op
Yesterday really went very well. I was so pleased with the doctor and the instructions from him and the nurses about how things would probably go. In reality, it didn't go as I was told, but that's ok ( Read more... ) -
Surgery is Done
It took all of about 10 minutes to do the surgery. She did fine with the versed. Drank it down and got all loopy. Then, they took her in to sniff the sweet smells from the "princess mask".
