Locks of love

Wow...a super-healthy diet during pregnancy/postpartum, plus prenatal vitamins, plus not having had time to get a haircut in months = the longest, healthiest hair I think I've ever had.

I've never donated hair (mostly because I tend to keep it short). I've got to say, I will never think of a tape measure exactly the same way. Don't stop taking those vitamins (they help hair too) you may be safe holding back on the expensive pre-natal ones...but you know know what I mean, they are good for you!

Good luck with the intention - but don't worry too much if you get to 8.5 and have a need to chop. Short hair rocks and any stage :)

Indeed! Taking vitamins, and I think just having more of them in my diet has done wonders. I'm hoping I'll be able to have enough growth to donate, but if I'm not able to get that far I will have to accept my limitations and go from there!

As for the tape measure--totally. A huge part of recovery has included my working to transform the personal symbolism of objects. I no longer have the intense emotional attachment I used to have to such a seemingly innocuous household object. As for the scale, well, I no longer have one of those at all. :-)
