i’ve been fat my whole life..well most of it..and when people refer to me as “getting skinny” i know it’s meant as a compliment but it still makes me feel weird. i’m not getting skinny. i’ve been sick. it’s not fun being on a liquid diet

I fit my ass into size 10 jeans yesterday. That's thinner than I've been since high school...except I feel like it's a booby prize for all the shit that I've been through since having the baby. I hate when people ask how I did it and I tell them it was a combination of severe PPD, forgetting to eat, and generally leading a miserable half-existence. I need to learn to just say thanks and credit hard work or something.

I'm really glad your doctor's visit was great news. You must be ready to get back on track, too.

wow! size ten! holy crap! i had been a size 20-22 since i was 18, and last week i fit into an 18..and those are even too big. i may be down to a 16. and i get those questions about How You Did It, last week at the clothing store this guy was giving his wife shit about shopping in Lane Bryant and i was getting so annoyed with his tone, he was being such an asshole to her. i was outside the dressing room with my friend that works in the store and when the lady came out, she was so sad but looked so pretty, i loudly told her how awesome she looked and we all started talking - the man asked me how I'd lost weight and i said, while lifting the scarf covering my scar and quietly said "liquid diet". boy did he get quiet fast! i again told his wife how awesome she looked and went to pay for my new jeans.

I can't even believe it. I took a picture of the label on the jeans yesterday because it baffles me. I don't even recognize my body...you know, like it didn't go through enough being pregnant. I think I've donated or given away most of my bigger stuff, but I'm still sorting, if you want me to keep an eye out for things for you.

Go you for putting that guy in his place! Being married doesn't give you a license to be snide about someone's appearance. I hope he thought about that good and hard for the rest of the day.
