So this kind of sucks: according to the nasal staffer at the ABQ SunPort help line, there is no place in the airport to rent a car seat. I just need it to get the baby into town. Therefore, I will be forced to lug the following through the airport (including one layover):

• my shit
  
• henry's shit
  
• henry
  
• the fricken car seat
  

This is ok. It's a pain

when are you flying out?

you could try checking to see if anyone in ABQ has a car seat you could use for a few days. i could try making a few calls if you want.

It's ok. I'm just going to check it in & pray. I like to whine! But I have strong back like bull, will lug seat to ABQ. Grrrr!

isn't there a stroller thingy that you can snap a car seat into? i think i saw someone with one of those last time we flew...

I know you can gate check car seats, so I'm pretty sure you can luggage check them. The downside, of course, is waiting for your luggage, but with a small child it might be worth it. Heck. It'd PROBABLY be worth it. IMO, of course.
